Plastic Recycling Conveyor (Inclined Belt Conveyor)
In recycling lines, the inclined belt conveyor are often seen between shredders, washing units, and pelletizing equipment to transport materials. The belt itself can be made from rubber or PVC, depending on the working environment and material type. Loose flakes and crushed plastics move especially well on this kind of conveyor, though it handles other materials just as reliably.
In most plastic recycling plants, machines are arranged at different heights. Instead of expanding the layout sideways, many lines use inclined conveyors to connect each stage. The inclined conveyors allow operators to optimize vertical space in the line. This reduces the overall system's footprint, making it compact and easier to organize.
Advantages
- With an adjustable inclination angle between 30° and 60°, the conveyor makes use of vertical space and reduces horizontal footprint, which is useful in limited workshop areas.
- The inclined design works with gravity to keep materials moving smoothly, reducing bridging and blockage. This is especially helpful for materials containing moisture, where buildup can lead to contamination.
- Compared with horizontal conveyors, inclined conveyors can reduce the need for secondary material transfer, improving overall conveying efficiency.
- A variable-frequency drive allows flexible control of conveying speed to match production requirements.
